9/1/26 - Farm update

Well, Fall was in the air, almost. Now we are back to soupy, hot weather. We were humming along and got out all of the current orders. If you haven't received yours yet, you will soon. Monday is our shipping day, so anything purchased this week will go out next Monday. We will stick to that schedule going forward.

We are currently sold out of Inchelium, Chesnok, Violet Spring and Pehoski Purple. Thank you! We still have some Italy Hill, Marjean and German Red left. Some Jumbo Italy Hill has been added also but is selling fast! Be sure to get your orders in A.S.A.P before they are gone!

And shallots, we still have shallots!

We are so happy to be able to share these varieties with you. It has always been my goal to encourage people to keep these Heirloom varieties alive. Italy Hill and Marjean have been grown right here in New York for years and we love that they are now being grown all across the country. Thank you to the families that kept them going all along so that we can all enjoy them now!

Our Story

We are a small family run farm growing garlic using organic practices. We started small growing only about 100 head of garlic for us and to share with family and friends. As we gave away more and more, People loved it! We started to slowly increase and wanted to seek out varieties that would be well suited to our area in Western NY.

How to Properly Cure Garlic for Long-Lasting Flavor

Since we are in the midst of our curing process, I thought I might share some more information on why it is so important and how we make sure our garlic is ready for storage. If you store it too soon, moisture trapped in the neck and wrappers can lead to mold, sprouting, soft cloves, and wasted bulbs. 2026 Spring update

Happy Spring, finally! It has been a long and cold winter and despite that the garlic is thriving in the cool wet weather. A couple of weeks ago we had just completed covering all of the garlic and shallots with row covers in anticipation of the first flight of the Allium leaf miner. They typically arrive here in late April with the first wave in NY being over by mid June. That usually coincides nicely with when the garlic begins to produce its scapes and we can remove them

2025 Wrap-up

Wow! 2025 was a great year! Despite weather challenges we had a really good harvest, and we are currently sold out of almost everything. We attended our first garlic festival, Webster Garlic fest, which was a smashing success. It was great to talk "garlic" with all of our customers and make some new friends.
